OUR STORY

This is 1331 West Wall Street in Grapevine, Texas. It is called the Yancy Farmhouse, a historic landmark in Grapevine, because it was originally built in 1898. It was modified several times throughout the years, then around fifteen years ago, it was abandoned, locked up, boarded up, and left to die. It sat on two acres just blocks from historic downtown Grapevine and many developers looked into buying the property only to find out that they could not just tear down this old house and develop the land because it was protected as a historic site. No one thought restoring the house was worth the effort.

That is until Eric Legge came around. Eric has been the President and CEO of a national consulting firm for over 25 years and had always wanted to buy a permanent place for not just his company, but for a charity he has worked closely with for the past ten years, Toys for Tots. Eric is not only a business man and a volunteer he is also a Marine. While deployed he dreamed of finding a building in Grapevine to buy so the company and Toys for Tots would never have to move to a new location again. His dreams were realized when he came across this old wreck of a house. Many around him thought he was crazy, but a year later and thousands of hours of work done by Eric and his father his expectations were exceeded.
